Making microbiome analysis even better with Smart Detection

We’ve recently released a brand new feature called Smart Detection that makes it easier to get the best possible results for your specific data.

These days we’re seeing more and more different types of sequencing data come through One Codex. That means sometimes, our One Codex Database analysis for metagenomic sequencing data just isn’t the best analysis to run. If you have amplicon data or Ampliseq™ data for example, it makes more sense to run our Targeted Loci analysis or our new Ampliseq™ AMR panel.

With Smart Detection, we inspect your sequencing data and deduce what the ‘best’ analysis type is for the data you have. Then, we automatically kick off that analysis for your samples. That means you can get the most accurate analysis for your samples every time.

Smart Detection also senses the sequencing instrument used to generate the sample, and will automatically add these fields to your sample’s custom metadata. Finally, we’ve gone ahead and detected the sequencing instrument used for previously uploaded samples.

We’re building One Codex to make it easier for everyone to analyze their metagenomic sequencing data. That means automating the tedious parts so bioinformaticians can focus on the interesting problems at hand, while making it easy for anyone to get an initial look into their data quickly and accurately. We have a bunch of exciting new features coming down the pipe this summer, and we’ll share those here as soon as they’re available. To stay up to date, we recommend subscribing to our newsletter so you can be the first to know!
