Introducing the Ampliseq™ AMR Community Panel Analysis

We’ve just released a new Report designed specifically for analyzing the data from the Ampliseq™ Antimicrobial Resistance Community Panel. Now, when you upload sequencing data for this panel generated on either the Illumina or Ion platform, One Codex will automatically detect and analyze the data for you. The output is a PDF report showing exactly which AMR markers appear to be present in your data, all laid out in an easily interpretable format.

You can read our full Getting Started guide here, but the short version is once you’ve uploaded your sequencing data, we map each read back to the reference markers for the panel. We calculate coverage, depth, and identity metrics for each marker, then make a call as to whether we believe the evidence suggest the marker is present, likely present, or absent. We then group the markers together based on the gene they correspond to, and provide you with a breakdown of the status of each gene predicted to confer resistance to each antibiotic class.

Upload your data now to get started, or reach out to us if you have any questions! We’re working closely with the Ampliseq team to add support for more community panels in the future, so subscribe to our newsletter to be notified of any updates. If you have a specific analysis you’d like to see added to One Codex, contact us and let us know!
